The only relaxing day in our household. We like to call it steak and wine night because we always have steak and we experiment with different wines to see what we like. But boy does it feel good to just kick back. Today is a little stressed as the baby isn’t feeling too well and for the last 3 days has run a small fever but at least she has been happy during the whole time. My foot is feeling a tad bit better as well so we are all looking forward to a nice quiet relaxing day (lol I say this as the baby starts to cry) I am off for the day hope you all have a relaxing day as well

It’s been one of those days that you look out your window and see that the sun is setting and you feel like you just started your day. Being busy is great but being so busy that you don’t even enjoy the day sometimes sucks. Doesn’t help that I had to sleep for 2 hours this afternoon due to my baby being sick and keeping me up all night. I hate taking naps because not only does it eat up my time, I can never go to sleep at a decent hour at night. Oh well life goes on and tomorrow is another day

So You Think You Can Dance

Can I just say I love this show!!!!!! I have been watching it since it’s second season and I find myself looking forward to the next season as soon as the current season is over.
Season 4 kicked off on May 22 and I am already enjoying some of the tryouts. Haven’t seen anyone yet who blows me away but it takes awhile to get into the show. Once the tryouts are over and the dancers are chosen then I really get to know who my favorites are.
I would love for this show to do a "Where are they now" with past contestants. I have had many favorites over the past seasons. From season 2 I loved Musa Cooper , Dmitry Chaplin (ohlala), Allison Holker (my favorite female dancer), Heidi Groskreutz , Travis Wall (my favorite male dancer), and of course the winner Benji Schwimmer . From season 3 there was Hokuto "Hok" Konishi , Jamie Goodwin , Kameron Bink , Dominic Sandoval , Lauren Gottlieb , Pasha Kovalev (ohlala), Lacey Schwimmer (my favorite female dancer), Neil Haskell (my favorite male dancer), and Sabra Johnson .
SO I am looking forward to getting to know the new dancers and picking out my favorites for this season. Stay tuned for my updates on how I think the show is going

AWESOME is all I gotta say!!!!! I finally have some motivation to lose some of the leftover baby weight (I say finally not because I didn’t have motivation before just because I finally got off my butt to do something about it). I love everything about this game, but most of all the aerobics. They all get my heart a pumping and it makes me feel so refreshed afterwards.
I can’t do the excercises for a few days because of my foot but I hopped on quick this morning and the little talking scale told me I lost a pound…..Oh glorious day lol but seriously it is a very fun game and I would recommend it to anyone. If anything its good for a laugh as you watch your friends and family try to balance or catch hula hoops

Homeschooling My Kids
Posted by thedirtyshirt under Homeschooling | Tags: Homeschooling, Kids, teaching |Leave a Comment
I teach my two older kids who are in 4th and 10th grades starting next week (they have chosen to school through the summer). I am so happy that I am doing this as I think they are getting a lot out of it. It is also a in my opinion a better way for them to spend their day. Public school kids are in school for 7 hours a day, most of which is spent traveling to and from the school and between classes. By the time attendance is taken, worksheets are passed out they probably have 30 minutes per class. With home-school that is so much more flexible. My kids school from 8am to noon and get so much more accomplished.
Now every one has their own thoughts and opinions on this topic just as with any other one. I get mixed reviews every time someone asks why they aren’t in school. Some people are shocked and some actually wish they could do that for their children. I will have to say that I am extremely fortunate that I am in the position where I can be their teacher. I am not sure I would have been happy with them going back to public school. Anyone else out there home-school their kids? I will say that it seems like it is starting to become a trend here in Florida.

Let me start off by saying WOW. It’s tough after 35 to gather the energy babies require. I honestly don’t know how I manage with everything else I am doing to survive the day with the baby lol My other two children were typical babies, but not this one. She is giving me a run for my money. She picks everything up off the floor (the other 2 didn’t do that) even after I have just vacuumed the floor she will find that one speck of whatever I missed, put it in her mouth and then spit it back out. And she has some set of lungs let me tell you. My husband likes to tell me that he has never seen the look of anger and pride collide in my eyes as it has with my girls.
The idea for my Dirty Shirt blog stems right from the baby. I have laundered my shirts so much from the constant upsurge and runny noses from her that my new shirts look like I have had them for 30 years. So here I am left to wonder is it really just hard for me? Am I the only one who swore to her spouse that she could handle another baby after 35 only to find herself drained and exhausted? I Love kids big time and even after being wiped out and desperatly searching for more ways to collect energy I would do it all over again in a heartbeat……I know I am nuts

Hello blogging world
I have been wanting to dive into the waters of the blogging arena for some time. For me I think my blog will pertain to family (motherhood), fun, homeschooling, causes I support, gaming and a general idea of my likes and dislikes of some products that I use.
I started to organize this blog a few days ago and then had to have unexpected surgery on my foot so I haven’t been able to dive in like I wanted. Thought about posting on pain meds but figured I may be a bit hard to understand
Well I will make my first post this introductory one more to come soon.
